Galloway Law is a Columbus, OH law firm who focuses in family, adoption and juvenile law. Founder & Attorney at Law, Britani was getting ready to embrace two big milestones in her firm. She was coming up on her 10 year anniversary and getting ready to hire an associate. She decided it was time to rebrand her outdated logo and website.
When I first spoke with Britani, I asked her what she had in mind for her new logo and branding. She knew she wanted her new branding to feel sophisticated, yet approachable. Being a mother herself, Britani takes a more compassionate approach with her clients. Britani also told me she loves the color pink, but was afraid if we incorporated it she would look like Elle Woods.
Who says a law firm can’t have the color pink in it’s branding without looking like Elle Woods?
To set the foundation of a sophisticated yet compassionate brand, we landed on a navy and gold color palette with light blush accents. I paired this calming color palette with a geometric pattern and marble texture. These helped give a trustworthy, timeless and professional feeling to the brand. To tie it all together, I designed a monogram logo to give her firm that established look that it deserved. Plus, I thought the monogram highlighted that they focused on family law but with a personal touch.
After I designed the new logo, I started to create new business cards and letterhead for the both of them. I had these printed using Gold Foil to set the bar.
During that initial coffee chat, I asked Britani what she didn’t like about her current site. She said she wanted it to really connect with her clients. So many attorneys in her area are all about the results (they even use pitbulls in their logo – yikes!). She knew she needed to let the clients know what areas they practice, but also what sets them apart. Britani wanted them to get a feeling that working with their firm was like having an attorney who cares about you like a family member.
After looking at her current site, it was clear to see what was missing. I designed custom icons that represented each practice area. Then, I hand selected stock imagery that reflected who her clients were. Her clients are already going through a hard time in their life. When they come to her firm’s site, I want them to feel like there is a bright side at the other end of the tunnel.
Once I had all my images and icons ready, I designed a custom WordPress website for her brand. The website was built with ease of use in mind using a page builder called Elementor. Let’s face it, Britani and her associate have a mile long to do-list every day! Updating a photo, copy or form on their website should not take more than a minute.
